School Supplies
  • Appropriate dress for all weather (including face and skin coverings), as we will be walking outside every day and -27 C or colder policies do not apply to our students.
  • Backpack
  • A personal water bottle, marked clearly with the child's name.
  • A hard-bound notebook to act as a field journal. Note: It's important the field journal is firmly bound and durable. It should be 27.6 cm x 21.2 cm (the size of an 8.5 x 11-inch sheet of paper). Please ensure the pages in the field journal are not perforated and cannot be easily ripped out.
  • A drawstring or zipper bag to carry the field journal.
  • Small, sticky tabs for marking pages in the field journal.
  • 5 x 3 prong duo tangs
  • One clipboard for students to use when moving around Sherbrooke. Note: Please label with student's name.
  • Running shoes for gym/indoor wear and gym clothes to change into at College Park.
  • Pens, pencils, erasers, as needed.
  • Washable markers (set of 12) Note: Please put name on each marker.
  • Set of pencil crayons Note: Please put name on each pencil crayon.
  • School scissors Note: Please label with student's name.
  • Calculator or device with calculator app
  • 2 whiteboard markers Note: Please purchase markers with large tips.
  • 4 black Sharpie markers Note: These will be shared through the year so no need to label.
  • 2 combination locks for the student's locker spaces at Sherbrooke and College Park.
  • A math set that includes a protractor and compass.
Please do not bring additional supplies that are not on the list, as we have limited space for storage. The students will be using a field journal at the beginning of the year that they will be responsible for. They must be prepared to have their field journal, as well as a pencil and pen, with them at all times. All notes, handouts, reminders, etc., will be filed in their field journal. After their first field journal is full, families will be asked to purchase a replacement.

If students have their own Smartphone, they are invited to bring it to school each day for safety reasons. The Smartphones will be locked in a lock box when not in use.

Parent/Caregiver Contact Information

The iGen teachers will need email addresses for parents/caregivers, as well as cell phone, work and home phone numbers. This is how we will communicate with parents. We will also communicate with parents/caregivers via Edsby and the Remind app. A Remind app invitation will be provided at the beginning of the school year to those who have been accepted into the program. Most of the daily communication and reminders are done through the Remind app and email.

If a child will be late or absent, please use Edsby and/or School Messenger to inform the teachers. If you have problems with the automated system, please call the College Park School office at 306-683-7170.
