Aden Bowman music is where it's at! The music department invites you to be a part of this great experience.
Bowman offers many musical opportunities, including:
- Choir: Students in choir meet three times per week before school. The choir goes on spring tour with the senior concert band.
- Concert Band: There are more than students in three concert bands at Aden Bowman. All concert bands rehearse during the regular school day.
- Guitar: Bowman offers guitar in grades 10, 11 and 12. Students learn notation, tab, picking and finger style guitar playing. Students have the opportunity to do open tests and work on assignments on their favourite guitar player.
- Jazz Band: Two jazz bands (Grade 9 and grades 10-12) rehearse and perform throughout the year.
Each musical group performs several concerts in the Robert Hinitt Castle Theatre during the year. Other performances include local music festivals, as well as a spring tour for each concert band and choir. Musicals take place every second year.
