Welcome to King George School!

When newcomers come to King George, a castle school built in 1912 rich in history and tradition, they cannot help but notice the size of the building and its beautiful architecture. An outside mural at the front of our school reads, "A Good Place for All to Learn and Grow."

When you enter our school, one of the first things you notice is the spacious hardwood hallways. Since we are a culturally responsive school, we have numerous pieces of artwork — some completed by professionals and others by students — adorning our front showcase and walls. Along both sets of stairs leading to the second floor, two more murals welcome students, staff, parents and caregivers.

At King George, our goal is to build strong and trusting relationships with every student because we know the benefits of working collectively. That's why, throughout the year in every school newsletter, we emphasize "Together We Are Better!"

King George School is at the heart of our community. We not only serve as a centre that inspires student learning during the day but also offer families opportunities throughout the year to engage in free programs made available after school hours through our school community coordinator.
