About Our School

Forest Grove School is a small and personal school. We have a professional and support staff of approximately 40 people and a student population of about 330. Forest Grove School draws students primarily from the Forest Grove and the Willowgrove Communities. Our size allows us to get to know one another, like a big family. Forest Grove School is a Kindergarten to Grade Eight School designed to meet all the academic criteria set out by Saskatoon Public Schools.

Unique to Forest Grove School is our Kindergarten Program, which offers two programming options. We provide a full day, everyday Kindergarten Program and an alternate, full day Kindergarten Program, both of which boast a rich literacy component woven into an active Kindergarten Curriculum. As well, Forest Grove School is home to the North East Saskatoon Middle School -  "a school within a school." Forest Grove School has created a developmentally rich Middle School Program for students in Grades 6, 7 and 8 within an already existing school. New this year, Forest Grove School is initiating a Grades 3 to 5 Fine Arts Program to enhance our Arts Education component in the curriculum areas of visual art, drama, music and dance.

Forest Grove School emphasizes Saskatoon Public Schools' Literacy for Life initiative in all our grades -- Kindergarten to Grade Eight via our Read to Succeed group of students in Grades 3, 4 and 5, and through our school-wide Just Read program. We believe that a strong basis in reading and writing is critical to success in school.

At Forest Grove School, we are committed to caring, sharing, and excellence.
