Welcome to Roland Michener School, where we believe in providing a quality education in a warm, caring and sensitive environment.
At our school, your child's love of learning -- and interest in reaching out to the world -- are encouraged and developed. As part of Roland Michener's ongoing global education program, our students recently donated twenty large boxes of food to the Saskatoon Food Bank. This food was collected over a one week period as we participated in "Make Poverty History Week." Our students have also gathered and donated school supplies to an inner city school in Saskatoon. Roland Michener students have spent time learning about shortages of clean drinking water and efforts by others to address this situation. We think globally and act locally.
Our teachers build on their students' interests and experiences so that learning develops naturally and easily. Our students live primarily in Saskatoon's East College Park area, and come from culturally diverse backgrounds. We are proud of our school, and invite you to become part of our school family.
Roland Michener's staff is dedicated and caring. Teachers guide students' learning, striving to ensure that students are truly engaged in the learning process. The use of Assessment for Learning principles and practices supports continuous academic improvement. Roland Michener's staff focuses on academic progress and student wellness. Our staff members inspire student learning.
We believe that parents are important partners in the education of children. We encourage and welcome parents' active interest in their child's progress. By working closely together, we can create the best educational experience for every child.
Please feel free to drop in for a visit. We would love to show you around our school and talk with you about our programs and opportunities for students.
