Mount Royal Collegiate is proud to sponsor the High School Carpentry Program (HCAP). The program gives students the opportunity to bank hours towards a Journeyperson's status in the carpentry trade. Student apprentices learn about concrete foundation formation, concrete finishing, framing, roofing, plumbing, tile setting, carpentry, electrical, dry walling, plastering, insulating, glass working, painting and landscaping. Students who complete both the hours on the work site and the theory work have the opportunity to write the first level exam for apprenticeship.
