It is a privilege that we bring you greetings from Bedford Road Collegiate, a small high school, built on tradition that creates community.

Since opening its doors in1923, Bedford Road has established itself as a collegiate with a distinguished history and tradition. This history and tradition has helped cultivate an atmosphere at our school that can best be described as �feeling like a family.� This �feeling� becomes very evident to new students to our school. Students, present and past, view Bedford with great pride and loyalty.

Bedford Road is home to the Bedford Road Invitational Basketball Tournament (B.R.I.T), one of Canada's most prestigious boy's basketball tournaments. This tournament serves as a focal point that brings our whole student body together to showcase our school to the community. Bedford is also home to the Advanced Program. This program is designed to meet the needs of academically talented students and offers a range of electives congruous with their academic needs.

Bedford recently launched a Leadership Initiative to help students develop the skills needed to become active, caring citizens in our community. The Leadership Initiative serves as the main catalyst to engage our students and inspire learning. Another initiative that has �created a buzz� at Bedford is the International Baccalaureate Program -- or I.B. Program, for short. It is an internationally-recognized academic program that brings a certain global-mindedness to student learning. Currently, Bedford is an I.B. candidate school (i.e., we are navigating through the application process and hope to receive approval in the coming months to offer this program).

In essence, Bedford Road is a small high school that offers a wide range of curricular and extra curricular programming while meeting the needs of all of our students.
