Nutana Collegiate is a unique community high school in the heart of Saskatoon where students, staff and community partners work together to create a place for learning in a variety of innovative ways. Students are supported to achieve success. Students take courses in a quarter system format (two classes per day for ten weeks with four intake times per year) that leads to focused learning and meaningful relationships between students and staff. Students feel like they belong when they're at Nutana!

Our student population is diverse, drawn to the school for many reasons from all areas of Saskatoon. While we offer the full range of regular, academic Grade 9 to 12 classes, the majority of our students are at the senior level upgrading their marks in a few courses, completing prerequisites for specific post-secondary programs, or returning to school to meet final graduation requirements. Students tell us that they enjoy Nutana's mature setting -- one that allows them to meet their academic goals. Our graduates go on to university, technical and business schools, and to the world of work.

At Nutana, four academies emphasize particular opportunities for students. Our academies are:

1. Academic Upgrading programming for mature students ages 18 and older
2. Career and Experiential Learning provides unique supports and programs so students can explore career areas and develop skills; this prepares youth to be competitive in today's world
3. Community Engagement - the school has many service agency and business partners that provide opportunities which are linked to community resources and programs
4. Tourism courses (and opportunities) to develop skills needed for post-secondary education, for life-long learning and for work in the travel and tourism industry; Nutana is the only Saskatchewan Canadian Academy of Travel and Tourism Gold School.

Many on-site student services that are typically not available at other collegiates are available at Nutana. A few examples are: a full-time nurse practitioner, a full-time Social Services worker, a daycare, a student parent support centre, a youth leadership and skill development office, a community developer, a daily breakfast program, an innovative career resource program called iJob, a Stay in School worker, and an adult outreach worker from Addictions and Mental Health. Our Integrated School Linked staff ensures that students receive the services and supports they need to stay in school.
