About Our School

Academic excellence and spiritual excellence are not mutually exclusive. In fact, spiritual excellence calls us to be good stewards of the gifts and talents God has provided; therefore, it calls us to academic excellence as well. It is this striving for excellence in both realms that makes SCS what it is, a distinctly Christian school. Teachers are fully degreed and certified by the Province of Saskatchewan and actively fuse God's Word into the classes and activities of each day with the intent of showing students that God is involved in their academics, their extracurricular activities, spiritual life and service. As we strive to accomplish our schools vision we actively:

  • Focus our plans and activities around specific goals and outcomes
  • Create lessons and activities to engage all learners
  • Work to make each child's experience a successful one
  • Pray with students to seek God for their needs and for their success
  • Communicate homework and grades to parents and students on a regular basis

Students participate in a variety of activities on and off the SCS campus. Chapel services are an important part of the educational experience at our school. Children's pastors, youth pastors, missionaries, bible schools, and past/present SCS students are among the speakers each week, in addition to praise and worship time.

Electives such as music, art, drama, computer, yearbook and dinner theatre are a part of our curriculum to give students a well-balanced education. While at SCS, many students participate in extracurricular activities and service projects. We offer a variety of opportunities such as sports, drama and school clubs. Fine Arts students participate in dinner theatre and productions throughout the school year. We have students involved annually in world and national mission trips.

SCS students face a competitive world. Therefore, we strive to equip them to meet the challenges they will face whether at university, technical college, the workplace or in ministry.
