Under most circumstances, parents are responsible for transporting their children to and from school. Students are, however, provided free City of Saskatoon transit tickets in the following circumstances:
- If a student resides more than .805 kilometres from an elementary school and suitable bus routes exist
- If a student is taking Industrial Arts or Home Economics in a school outside their neighbourhood
- If a student is attending the academically talented program at either Caswell Public School or Greystone Heights Public School and lives outside those neighbourhoods
Saskatoon Public Schools also provides two-way transportation for the following elementary school students:
- Students with designated disabilities who require assistance getting to school
- Students who must leave their neighbourhood school in order to enroll in French Immersion at another public school (Kindergarten to Grade 8)
- Students who do not have a school in their neighbourhood
Elementary school students residing in the following neighbourhoods do receive busing:
- Arbor Creek to Dr. John G. Egnatoff Public School
- Briarwood to Lakeridge Public School
- Downtown Area Daycares to Ecole Victoria Public School
- Dutch Growers Subdivision to Sutherland Public School
- Exhibition to Buena Vista Public School
- Hampton Village to Dundonald Public School
- Haultain to Holliston Public School (for those children living in the part of the Haultain neighbourhood that is not part of an elementary school's catchment area).
- Henry Kelsey to Mayfair Public School
- Lakewood Suburban Centre to Lakeridge Public School
- McNab Park to Caroline Robins Public School
- City Park to North Park Wilson Public School
- Richmond Heights to North Park Wilson Public School
- Stonebridge to Alvin Buckwold, Hugh Cairns V.C. and Prince Philip Public Schools
- Willowgrove to Forest Grove Public School
