A World of Learning for Every Student is the theme for Saskatchewan Education Week that runs Oct. 14-20.
Education Week provides Saskatoon Public Schools with an opportunity to celebrate the achievements of our more than 25,000 students and recognize the more than 2,500 dedicated education professionals and staff members whose work contributes to success of our students.
This year's theme, A World of Learning for Every Student, recognizes the multiple pathways to learning being made available to our students and the tremendous impact of educators in broadening the horizons and enriching the lives of students. It highlights the student achievement and teaching excellence that occurs each day as our schools continue to prepare students for a brighter future before and after graduation.
Saskatoon Public Schools places its focus on student learning through the Board of Education's two strategic priorities: Learning for Life and Collegiate Renewal.
The goal of Literacy for Life and Collegiate Renewal is to see all students engaged in their learning and to have them graduate as active participants in lifelong learning and as responsible, caring, culturally responsive citizens in the community, nation, and world. In pursuit of this goal, there is a focus on the engagement, achievement and graduation rates of First Nations, Inuit and Métis students. Saskatoon Public Schools invites all of the members of our school community to join together during Education Week to celebrate learning and recognize the dedication and success of our teachers, staff and students.
