Little Shop of Horrors and Tarzan the Musical are the productions taking place during  December. Each production sees dozens of students involved on-stage or in technical and support roles, all under the leadership and guidance of teachers.

Additional information about each production and advance ticket sales is available by contacting the respective collegiate directly. In addition to public performances, each school will also host weekday matinee shows for students from neighbouring elementary schools.

Little Shop of Horrors at Bedford Road Collegiate, Dec. 6-7

The classic horror comedy rock musical follows  meek florist shop worker Seymour who raises a plant that feeds on human blood and flesh. It attracts a great deal of business to the store, but Seymour must come up with more bodies for the increasingly bloodthirsty plant.  Shows Dec. 6 and Dec. 7 at 7 p.m. Tickets $10 for adults, $5 for students and seniors, and $2 for children.

Tarzan the Musical at Evan Hardy Collegiate, Dec. 10-14

Based on the Disney animated movie, the musical featuring songs written by Phil Collins follows the plot outlined in the film version. The orphaned Tarzan is raised by gorillas, meets the young English naturalist Jane, and falls in love. Tarzan's loyalties are tested when Jane's entourage plans to kill the gorillas. Shows nightly Dec. 10-14 at 7 p.m.
