Take Our Kids to Work is a one-day, job-shadowing experience that provides Grade 9 students with the unique opportunity to learn more about the world of work and understand the challenges people experience on the job. Saskatoon Public Schools participates in this Canada-wide experience that sees Grade 9 students spend the day at work with a parent, friend, relative or volunteer host.

Take Our Kids to Work is a distinctive component of the Middle Years Career Guidance Curriculum that gives students a chance to develop an understanding of your world of work, of what parents and their workplace colleagues are expected to do to earn a living and of the skills that are required. Take Our Kids to Work intends to create a challenging learning and career opportunity for young people, and to show them just how important skills, training and education are to their success.
