ZebaAhmad_news.jpgThe Saskatoon Public Schools Foundation Board of Directors and Saskatoon Public Schools are proud to announce the appointment of Zeba Ahmad as the new Executive Director of the Saskatoon Public Schools Foundation (SPSF).

Ahmad brings a wealth of experience to the role through her numerous professional accomplishments and strong community leadership. Following two decades of work as a pharmacist, Ahmad transitioned to the corporate sector in 2008. She is currently a Business Development Executive for EY Saskatoon, a role she will continue in part-time along with her new opportunity with the foundation.

In the philanthropic sector, Ahmad is the past Board Chair of the Saskatoon Community Foundation and Royal University Hospital Foundation, former inaugural Chair of Gold Medal Plates Saskatoon, and a board member of the Saskatchewan Cancer Agency. She also volunteers on the Wanuskewin Heritage Park Thundering Ahead campaign.

Most recently, Ahmad served as board chair for the SPSF. She is an alumnus of Saskatoon Public Schools and the proud mother of two children who graduated from the school division. Ahmad will begin her new role on September 1.

"I am excited for the opportunity to serve the SPSF as Executive Director.  As a parent, I am grateful to the Saskatoon Public School Division and teachers for supporting my children in their educational ambitions.  Early learning and literacy are cornerstone investments in our children's futures," said Ahmad.

"Zeba has been a tireless advocate in our community and we know she will bring professionalism, enthusiasm and ingenuity to this new role. We look forward to working with Zeba and the foundation's directors as they foster new partnerships and engage supporters to elevate the opportunities for our students," said Director of Education Barry MacDougall.

The Saskatoon Public Schools Foundation is a non-profit organization established in 2008 to support enriched educational opportunities for students attending Saskatoon Public Schools and encourage community engagement in public education.
