Saskatoon Public Schools offers the most diverse programming options in Saskatchewan and works hard to ensure all students are engaged in their learning.

Academic Programs

Advanced Placement

Advanced Placement (AP) courses are an option for students who are able and want to enrich and challenge themselves in particular subject areas by working on university-level material while still in high school.

French Immersion

French immersion at the collegiate level builds on students’ established language skills and competency in curricular subjects. High school French Immersion programs are available at Centennial, Marion M. Graham, Tommy Douglas and Walter Murray collegiates. 

IB Diploma

International Baccalaureate World Schools share a commitment to high quality, challenging, international education. The IB Diploma Programme is offered at Aden Bowman and Bedford Road collegiates.


Experiential Programs

Collective Voice

This half-day, full-year program for Grade 9 students emphasizes learning through collaboration, group work and community building. Offered at Aden Bowman Collegiate.


Media School 

Media School is a full-semester program that explores the world of making films and television. Based at Evan Hardy Collegiate, this program is open to Grade 11 students division-wide.



Off the Grid

A half-day, full-year learning experience for Grade 9 students who are interested in such topics as climate change, sustainable living and social justice. Offered at Tommy Douglas Collegiate


Outdoor School 

This curriculum is delivered with a philosophy of outdoor, adventure and environmental education. Based at Walter Murray Collegiate, this full-semester program is open to Grade 11 students division-wide.

STOC 

The Skilled Trades of Construction program allows students to learn practical and theoretical knowledge in seven different construction sub trades. Offered at Walter Murray Collegiate.


Athletic Programs 

SSSAD 

The Saskatoon Secondary Schools Athletic Directorate (SSSAD) plans, supervises and coordinates interschool athletics. It also promotes interschool athletics as an integral part of the total education process. For schedules, results and standings, please visit the SSSAD website.

Soccer Academy 

Students have the opportunity to improve their skills as they work with one of the top coaches in Canada. Located at Centennial Collegiate.


Softball Academy

Students have the opportunity to build their skills in the sport in combination with their education. Located at Tommy Douglas Collegiate.
