​Our Board of Education held its regular, monthly meeting on Feb. 11, 2025.

​The meeting kicked off with a ​​presentation on Montessori learning from teacher Amber Nikolaisen (City Park School) and her Grade 6 student, Atlas. They made a presentation to the board and other meeting attendees (in-person and virtual) on what Montessori education looks like in a typical day: providing areas of inquiry and resources and then making space for students to learn independently. Montessori is available at Lakeridge School (kindergarten to grade 6) and City Park School (grades 1-8).
