Get Involved
Before the reunion date, we will need volunteers to contact and invite other grads to the event. We are hoping for at least 1,000 alumni, so we need your help in ensuring that everyone is informed of the event.
If you want to help but can't make it to the school next year, you can participate by donating to our alumni scholarship program. This program has been in place for over 35 years with funds of $1,000 to $2,000 awarded each year to deserving students. Over the years, this fund has been enriched by surplus monies raised by major BRCI reunions in 1982, 1998 and 2008.
Let's make this upcoming Reunion 100 the biggest and best event of 2023! If you wish to help us in organizing the event, contact us at BRCIAlumni@gmail.com.

With the passing of Kelly Bowers, stay tuned to changes to our fundraising efforts. In the meantime, we are leaving Kelly's and my letter describing our initiative unchanged.

Greetings & hello to all teachers, students, family, and friends of Bedford Road! The βgood old red & whiteβ is alive and well (95 years and going strong).
We would like to inform you of a BRCI alumni initiative. The reason behind this initiative is to quite simply "top up" the current Bedford Alumni Scholarship fund. The primary purpose of this alumni fund has been to award scholarship funds to a deserving Bedford Road graduate(s) each year, and we also fund projects in the school that honour our alumni.
This alumni scholarship program has been in place for over 35 years with scholarships of $1,000 to $2,000 awarded each year to deserving students. This fund has been made possible from surplus monies raised by BRCI reunions, primarily in 1983 and 1998, but these funds are almost gone.
To date, we have asked over 500 graduates of Bedford for donations to this worthwhile cause. Some former teachers of BRCI caught wind of the project and asked to be involved. We were thrilled that George Rathwell, Shammi Rathwell, and Avon Whittles have each contributed $50 to this initiative and they have challenged all former and current teachers, students, and friends of BRCI to match or beat their donation. Give to the Bedford Road Alumni Fund with an amount of your choice.
We have partnered with the Saskatoon Public Schools Foundation. We are using their capabilities to process your donations, which will then flow through to an account managed by BRCI Alumni. Please note that the Foundation will generate a tax receipt for donations over $20.
We are in the process of collecting email addresses and getting the word out about the campaign on Facebook. We got a good start on the email collection during BRIT 50 and weβd love for this list to grow. Please send an email to BRCIAlumni@gmail.com with names and email addresses of folks that are proud members of the BRCI family.
Thanks for your help as we move forward with this ambitious campaign.
