Admission Requirements
Students who are motivated, seeking a challenge and a well rounded approach to their studies should apply. See below for the course specific pre-requisites. Starting in the spring of 2022, a fee structure will be applied for Diploma and Course students. See home page for a
letter outlining this new policy.
Students younger than grade 10 should be aware of the course options that will satisfy the pre-requisites for the IB Diploma Programme. Bedford Road offers programming at the grade 9 and 10 levels (not mandatory) that serves as preparation for the IB Diploma Programme. Our timetable is organized so that students who are considering the IB programme can progress accordingly.
The admissions committee will conduct a review of a student's academic history as well as a student's transcripts to ensure pre-requisites satisfy admission. If necessary, an informal interview will take place to ensure the IB Programme is an appropriate educational path. Applicants will be contacted via letter regarding their application.

Quote from a former IB student
"The IB programme although important academically, has proven to be important in everyday life. Now that I am taking university classes, I find myself reflecting constantly on various moments throughout the two years. Being a member of the first BRCI IB class proved to be a unique and challenging experience. It was worth some of the sacrifices I made. If you are a student with a work ethic and if you have a passion for learning, this programme is 100% for you. Along the way you may even be lucky enough to make friends and feel like you're making a difference in your community." (Jessica Tucker - BRCI IB Class of 2012)
