Saskatoon Public Schools coordinates exchange programs with the state of Schleswig-Holstein in Germany for Grade 11 students attending Marion M. Graham Collegiate and studying German.
Student exchanges of either one month or three months in length are available. The three-month exchange allows students from Germany to live with their hosts in Saskatoon for the first three months of the school year, attending whichever public school their host partners attend. The Saskatoon students, upon completing their second semester, work in a specially designed program, travel to Germany, live with their exchange partner’s family and attend school with their partners for the final three months of the school year.
The application period for the 2019-20 three-month exchange program closes on Feb. 1, 2019.
The one-month exchange begins with the Canadian students going to live with their host partners/families from approximately the middle of June until the middle of July. Their German partners come to Canada in late August and remain until the end of September. The application period for the 2019-20 short exchange program is closed.
More information about the program is available on the
Saskatoon Public Schools website, from German teachers or the Marion M. Graham Collegiate Student Services office.
