Programming Highlights

NON-SEMESTERED SCHOOL YEAR
The length of time it takes to complete courses may vary but must be negotiated with the teacher. All courses must be completed by the end of June. Students need to demonstrate continuous progress in their course of studies. This can best be demonstrated by regular attendance and completing course work in a timely fashion. Note: it is the student's responsibility to be aware of application deadlines for post-secondary programs.

FLEXIBLE SCHEDULING AND INTAKE

Students may enroll at any time from fall until the end of March in 2 classes at a time, depending on the individual’s need and what is manageable. Counselling is available at the time of registration to help students determine an appropriate workload.   Students may ask to add another class once they have completed, or made sufficient progress in,  their original course(s).

INDIVIDUALIZED INSTRUCTION
Students negotiate their way through a particular course of studies with the teacher’s guidance, working independently on guided learning packages or textbook units of study.  The teacher is there to help, to provide feedback and to set an appropriate pace of study.
