Our School

Welcome to École Alvin Buckwold School—where every student is known, valued, and believed in.

Our school community is built on a foundation of respect, care, and connection. We are proud to be a welcoming and inclusive learning environment that celebrates the diverse identities, experiences, and strengths of our students, families, and staff. At Alvin Buckwold, we foster a sense of belonging by creating joyful spaces, nurturing relationships, and engaging in meaningful partnerships with our community.

As a dual-stream school offering both English and French Immersion programs, we embrace the richness that comes from learning in multiple languages and cultures. Nous sommes fiers d’offrir un programme d’immersion française qui enrichit l’expérience scolaire de nos élèves. Two-way transportation is provided to French Immersion students in our catchment area at no cost.

We believe that learning should be relevant, engaging, and empowering. Our dedicated teaching staff are deeply committed to supporting all learners through responsive instruction that meets students where they are, while helping them grow toward high expectations. They use evidence-informed practices to ensure that every student receives the right supports at the right time, building skills and confidence along the way. Our educators are reflective in their practice and continuously seek professional growth to ensure their teaching remains current and impactful.

Our School Community Council provides families with opportunities to actively engage in their children’s education. Through collaboration and shared leadership, the SCC helps foster growth, connection, and meaningful learning experiences for all students.

At École Alvin Buckwold School, we are inspired by the Saskatoon Public Schools’ vision and strategic plan, and we are committed to creating learning experiences that help every student reach their full potential—academically, socially, and emotionally.
