Transportation
Elementary School Students
Bus transportation is provided by external providers for:
- Students residing more than 1.2 kilometres from their neighbourhood school.
- Students who must leave their neighbourghood to attend:
- French Immersion. Information on French Immersion school zones is available here.
- The Mii Taant leur Plaas Michif Early Learning program at Westmount School.
- The Nêhiyâwiwin Cree Language and Culture program at wâhkôhtowin School.
Additionally, based on elementary school attendance areas and busing zones, students residing in the following neighbourhoods without schools receive transportation to the schools listed:

Note: Students attending half day kindergarten - who qualify for busing - will only be bused one way. If they attend morning class, they will be bused to school. If they attend afternoon class, they will be bused home. There is no midday busing.

Hertz Northern Bus
If your school's busing partner is Hertz Northern Bus, you can receive online updates about bus route delays and cancellations on Hertz's website here. Saskatoon Transit: Free Fare for Children in Grade 8 and Under
In September 2024, Saskatoon Transit launched a new program offering free fares for children in Grade 8 and under. This program allows elementary school-age children to ride all Saskatoon Transit and Access Transit services for free without needing to scan a fare pass or show any documentation (such as ID) simply by boarding the bus based on their grade level. High School Students
High school students are encouraged to use Saskatoon Transit or to walk, bike or carpool to school.
