Annual fundraising roast recognizes Tiffany Paulsen, Chief Darcy Bear

September 19, 2017

Roast_news.jpgA pair of community builders and Saskatoon Public Schools alumni are doing their part to support unique educational opportunities to students by serving as the special guests for the 2017 Autumn Social & Celebrity Roast.

Lawyer and long-time city councillor Tiffany Paulsen, a graduate of Aden Bowman Collegiate, and Darcy Bear, chief of the Whitecap Dakota First Nation and an alumnus of Nutana Collegiate, are the subjects of the roast that raises funds for the Saskatoon Public Schools Foundation.

The evening takes place Thursday, Nov. 2, at Nutana Collegiate and features dinner, a silent & live auction and a light-hearted roast featuring roast master Darrell Utley and other guests.

Proceeds from the Autumn Social & Celebrity Roast will be used to fund unique educational opportunities that go above and beyond for Saskatoon Public Schools students, such as Summer Reading Camps, Early Learner Literacy Tutors and Programs of Excellence Grants.
