Registration is now open for the second annual Drive Fore Literacy Golf Tournament.
The event, which is open to all Saskatoon Public Schools staff, is a six-hole Texas scramble followed
by supper, silent auction and other activities.
Drive Fore Literacy supports the Saskatoon Public Schools Foundation Summer Reading Program, which offers literacy and other activities for students. The 2017 tournament raised a total of $18,000, enough to send 80 children to Summer Reading Camps.
Now in the sixth year of operation, Summer Reading Camps see more than 200 students take part in a two-week program designed to help prevent learning loss during the summer months. In 2017 the camps were held at 14 public schools across Saskatoon.
