Registration is open for students planning to attend one of Saskatoon Public Schools' four new elementary schools during the 2017-18 school year.
Sylvia Fedoruk School in the Evergreen neighbourhood, Ernest Lindner School in Hampton Village, Colette Bourgonje School in Rosewood and Chief Whitecap School in the Stonebridge community are currently under construction and are scheduled to welcome students and staff in September 2017.
Websites for each of the schools provide updates and information on registration, transportation, daycare, before- and after-school care, kindergarten, school community council and parent council, and playground fundraising.
Families planning for their children to attend any of the four new schools are being encouraged to indicate their intentions or register as soon as possible. An accurate student count will allow principals and division staff to make preparations for staffing and student needs in advance of the 2017-18 school year.
Registration and parent intentions forms are available on the websites of all four schools under the About Our School menu.
Temporary administration offices have been established to assist parents with information and registration ahead of the 2017-18 school year. The office locations are:
- Chief Whitecap School office located at Buena Vista School, 1306 Lorne Ave.;
- Colette Bourgonje School office located at Wildwood School, 203 Rosedale Road;
- Ernest Lindner School office located at Vincent Massey Community School, 1001 Northumberland Ave.;
- Sylvia Fedoruk School office located at Dr. John G. Egnatoff School, 225 Kenderdine Road.
Parents of students who are currently attending a Saskatoon Public Schools elementary school do not have to fill out a new registration form. All that is required is basic student information and an indication of which school the student plans to attend in September 2017.
Parents of students who will be entering kindergarten or who do not currently attend a Saskatoon Public Schools elementary school are asked to fill out the full registration form. The form may be submitted in person to the respective school offices.
