We become the Whole world to Elders.
To create a life-changing intergenerational learning experience, where relationships are fostered, kindness, critical thinking and lifelong learning are encouraged, and out future community leaders are empowered.
iGen is designed to provide close and continuing contact between Elders in long-term care and school-aged children over the period of one school year. The conversations and activities that Elders and children engage in will enhance the learning that happens through relationships in the home that is Sherbrooke.
Saskatoon Public Schools' iGen program provides and intergenerational classroom experience for Grade 6 students at Sherbrooke Community Centre and is the only program of its kind in Saskatchewan. Learn more about by clicking the link below to watch our video.
