On behalf of our entire Mayfair staff, we welcome all students and families to our school.

Mayfair School is a vibrant and inclusive pre-kindergarten to grade 8 school, located in the heart of the Mayfair community. With a small, close-knit student population, we offer a supportive and nurturing learning environment where every child is known, valued, and believed in. Our staff is committed to fostering academic growth, social responsibility, and lifelong wellness. Our teachers are committed to uplifting student achievement by using evidence-based teaching practices that support the unique learning needs of every child.

We believe that an emphasis on early childhood education is of paramount importance in promoting future success in learning. Mayfair School offers both a pre-kindergarten and kindergarten program which support holistic, inquiry-based learning. We also partner with Next Generation Early Learning Centre Co-operative, which provides before and after care to our students, and daycare to families in the wider community. 

Our staff works hard to ensure that each child at Mayfair School is given the necessary tools for lifelong learning in literacy, numeracy and critical and creative thinking. We encourage students to develop personal and social values and skills. Our students are encouraged to become involved in a wide variety of educational experiences, both curricular and extracurricular. As a Health Promoting School, we offer a variety of extracurricular activities that support the physical and social growth of our students. Cross-country, track, volleyball, and basketball are just a few of the activities we offer. Additionally, our school partners with both the Kinsmen Hockey League and Kinsmen Lacrosse League to provide additional opportunities for our students.

As stated in Mayfair’s school moto, “Working Together to Make a Difference”, we believe that our parents, guardians and wider community have a vital role to play in supporting the success of our students. We value the partnership between home, school, and community, and believe that by working together, we can create a learning environment that supports each child's growth and development. We welcome all families to join our School Community Council (SCC) and "Friends of Mayfair" Parent Council, which play an important advisory role in shaping learning opportunities for students. We look forward to collaborating with parents, fostering open communication, and building strong relationships to ensure the success and well-being of every student.
