Request for Information

The Local Authority Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy (LAFOIP) Act is intended to strike a balance between the public's right to know and the individual's right to privacy, as these rights relate to information held by the Saskatoon Board of Education. The act ensures individuals have the right to access their own personal information. It also provides access to other records held by the school division and includes strict standards the division must follow for the collection, use and disclosure of personal information.

Make a Request

To make a request for information, please complete the LAFOIP Access to Information Request form here.

Fees

A $20 application fee is required for formal access to information requests under The Local Authority Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (LAFOIP). After a request is received and reviewed, applicants will be contacted with instructions to submit payment before the request is processed.

Additional fees may apply to cover the cost of gathering, preparing, and reproducing records in accordance with LAFOIP Regulations. If additional fees are expected to exceed $100, a written fee estimate will be provided and a deposit may be required before the request is processed further.
