Our School
Roland Michener School, established in 1975, is a small school with a student population of approximately 400. We serve the communities of College Park East and South Brighton (south of Westfield Road, Taube Avenue and Underhill Way).
Our size permits us the opportunity to get to know one another like a big family. Roland Michener is a safe place to learn, where students accept each other's differences and care about one another. We are located in a wonderful park setting, with access to playground equipment, soccer fields, baseball diamonds and tennis courts.
Academic growth (knowing), personal development (caring), and social and cultural development (sharing) are all seen as part of a well-balanced education for every child. These goals and values provide focus and direction for our students' learning. Students find that our school provides abundant opportunities for growth through an excellent learning program and a comprehensive extracurricular program. We encourage students to become involved in all aspects of school life, including academics, athletics, arts education and citizenship.
As part of Saskatoon Public Schools, we align with the division’s strategic plan by fostering equity, engagement, and excellence in learning. Our school promotes inclusive practices, supports student well-being, and encourages innovative learning experiences that prepare students to thrive in a changing world.

A highlight of the school year is our Diversity Dinner, where students and families come together to celebrate the rich cultural backgrounds within our school community. Through performances, shared meals, and storytelling, we showcase talents and traditions that foster understanding, respect, and belonging. These celebrations strengthen relationships and build a more inclusive and vibrant school culture.
