Children's Hospital School Program
Saskatoon Public Schools, in partnership with the Saskatchewan Health Authority, offers educational opportunities for students who are hospitalized at Jim Pattison Children's Hospital and are unable to attend school. Teachers in the program are in contact with the patient's home schools and teachers to guide educational programming on a variety of subject areas. Transition support can also be provided upon the student's return to school.

Instruction can take place in the hospital classroom, individual rooms or a combination of settings. Students often enjoy being in the classroom when they are able and at times can work alongside others. The classroom is equipped with technology aids, curriculum materials, reading genres that span kindergarten to Grade 12 and many other educational activities that foster student engagement.

The school program allows students to keep current with their curriculum goals and often provides a sense of normalcy and distraction from medical treatments.
