Oct 14 board meeting celebrates interventionist teachers

The Saskatoon Public Schools Board of Education held its Regular Monthly Meeting on Oct. 14, 2025.

Interventionist Teacher Supports

Meeting attendees had the chance to hear from Katie Hall (interventionist teacher) and Kal Ledoux (teacher) from Caroline Robins School, along with some of their wonderful students. Thanks to the addition of new interventionist teachers like Ms. Hall, classrooms are getting more targeted support right where it's needed. These educators use data to identify where their support will have the most impact. Then they can provide the time, resources, and expertise to help meet those needs. In the first six weeks of the 2025-26 school year, Ms. Hall worked alongside teachers at Caroline Robins to support literacy, assessments, and classroom routines.

Mr. Ledoux shared how having an interventionist teacher as a colleague has made his first year in the classroom smoother. They’ve been able to collaboratively establish positive school day routines for students and a supportive learning environment from day one.
