About Our School
​​​​​​Welcome to Caroline Robins School! 

We opened our doors in 1966 and are located in Saskatoon's Westview Heights neighbourhood in the city's northwest. Our school has approximately 450 students enrolled from prekindergarten to Grade 8.
 
Our staff is a team of dedicated individuals committed to student learning and is comprised of teachers, educational assistants, a community coordinator, a nutrition worker, a social worker, a counsellor, a building operator and our administrative office group.
 
At Caroline Robins, we feel fortunate to be able to teach and learn in a bright and welcoming facility. Our staff, students and community are proud of our school's exceptional learning areas, including a brand new computer lab, large gymnasium, beautiful art room, spacious and well-resourced library, math manipulatives room, equipped nutrition room, conference spaces and large classrooms.
 
Community
At Caroline Robins, we care about fostering partnerships with our school community and the wider community. We encourage regular communication between home and school through bi-weekly school newsletters, classroom newsletters, assemblies and monthly School Community Council​ meetings. We are fortunate to have so many parents and community members, like our Helping Hands group, who volunteer to support our school's curricular and extracurricular endeavours. 

We work diligently to develop and nurture partnerships that support students' learning and well-being. These include the Care and Share program, Supreme Basics, Westview Co-op and many more. Our culture club, along with the cultural corners' paintings on the walls of our school are two examples of our responsiveness to our school community's diverse population. Our teachers are committed to ensuring that they take into consideration the cultural needs of all students so that everyone can grow as learners.
 
Academics
At Caroline Robins, we care about meeting the learning needs of each student. We recognize that students succeed through various learning styles and that differentiated instruction is essential. All of our classrooms have adopted the Assessment for Learning practices driven by Dr. Anne Davies, where students participate in constructing their own evaluation and understand their learning targets.
 
As our school emphasizes literacy and mathematics, all Caroline Robins staff understand that student engagement is necessary for student growth. We integrate technology into our curriculum and provide students with a variety of experiences both inside and outside the classroom.
 
Respect
At Caroline Robins, we care that respect is shown to all students, staff and community members. Having recently developed our school's belief statement, all members of our school community are aware of what we believe in. Respect is the key component. We promote positive behaviour proactively by teaching weekly virtues, engaging in classroom character education and modeling positive interactions. We demonstrate respect for self by being an In Motion and Nutrition Positive​ school.
 
Students are taught to respect the school and community environment. For example, students participate in the Destination Conservation program that promotes eco-friendly practices and our school-wide recycling program.
 
Enjoyment
At Caroline Robins, we care about the level of joy and self-fulfillment experienced by our students and staff. Our goal is for all students to find joy through regular classroom learning opportunities and through the many extracurricular opportunities available, including student representative council, sports teams, art clubs, literacy clubs, cooking club, boys drumming group, technology club and various community events. 
 
Safety
At Caroline Robins, we care about student safety and recognize the importance of student safety to our families. Our staff is dedicated to anti-bullying education, supporting conflict management and promoting positive behaviours. We ensure that adequate supervision is in place before school, during recess and over the noon hour, and we abide by the safety policy and procedures mandated by our school board and the Ministry of Education.
