ββββββββββββββββββββSchool Community Councils (SCC) are comprised of elected individuals from the community who help advance the educational objectives of their school. Members representing each SCC meet regularly in an assembly to share ideas with each other and the school board.
The primary purpose of the councils is to:
Develop shared responsibility for the learning success and well-being of all children and youth
Encourage and facilitate parent and community engagement in school planning and improvement processes.
Parents/caregivers are encouraged to become involved in their School Community Council. School staff attend every meeting to talk about school-wide events, curricula, extracurricular activities, and to discuss issues of common concern to parents, students and staff.
Please contact your school for a meeting schedule. We look forward to your involvement!
