​The Saskatchewan Teachers’ Federation (STF) has announced the withdrawal of support for extra-curricular activities at all schools across the province on Tuesday, March 5 and Wednesday, March 6, 2024. 

As a result, the school division has cancelled all extra-curricular activities for Tuesday, March 5 and Wednesday, March 6, 2024. 

This means the following activities are cancelled for Tuesday, March 5 and Wednesday March 6, 2024: 

• The elementary relay races at the Saskatoon Field House on Tuesday, March 5 
• All Saskatchewan High School Athletics Association (SHSAA) activities 
• All athletic practices and games
• All musicals, concerts or theatre performances 
• Any field trips or student travel 
• Any school clubs that operate as extra-curricular activities

As a school division, we respect the collective bargaining process. Our number one priority is the safety of our students and maintaining a focus on student learning. We are committed to keeping parents, caregivers and families informed of future job action and changes to school operations.
