At the January 14 meeting of the Saskatoon Board of Education, part of the agenda included celebrating arts education in Saskatoon Public Schools.

We had the opportunity to hear from Mr. Burgess, teacher-director at Aden Bowman Collegiate, and students Linda and Olive who were part of Aden Bowman's Addams Family Musical in December.

In their own words, Linda and Olive spoke to how the arts play a crucial role in fostering self-confidence, well-being, problem-solving and interpersonal skills. And how the arts inspire us to discover and embrace our authentic selves, uncover new forms of expression, and to bring joy to self and others.

Trustees had the opportunity to meet with the student presenters and congratulate them on their successful December production. We're so proud of all our arts programming across the division.​
