Transitioning to Grade 9

Grade 9 is full of excitement and growth. You'll have the chance to meet new friends, choose classes that fit your interests, build on your unique skills, and learn more about yourself as you explore a new school environment. At the end of the year, we hope you'll look back and feel proud of everything you've accomplished!

Collegiate Open Houses

Want to get a feel for a collegiate before deciding where to go? Visit one or more of our open houses in February.

Open houses are held at 7:00 p.m. on the following dates:

• Aden Bowman Collegiate: February 12; International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme info session at 6:00 p.m.
• Bedford Road Collegiate: February 5; International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme info session at 6:00 p.m.
• Centennial Collegiate: February 5
• Estey School: February 9
• Evan Hardy Collegiate: February 4
• Marion M. Graham Collegiate: February 4; STEaM info session at 7:45 p.m.
• Mount Royal Collegiate: February 11
• Tommy Douglas Collegiate: February 12
• Walter Murray Collegiate: February 10

Note: Nutana Collegiate does not hold an open house as their Grade 9 course offerings are specialized.

Grade 9 Unique Program Open Houses

The division offers three unique programs specifically for Grade 9 students. Open houses are typically held for the following programs in February:

• Collective Voice 
  Aden Bowman Collegiate
• Waskawīwin Land-Based Education
  Bedford Road Collegiate

Register

• Students attending Grade 8 at Saskatoon Public Schools will receive information to support their transition to Grade 9 at school.
• Students not currently registered with Saskatoon Public Schools (for example, coming from another division) should use the 2026/27 Registration Form.
