Since 1965, Evan Hardy Collegiate has offered a highly-respected curricular and extracurricular program. We are committed to our school motto of excellence in all things and continue to find ways to improve upon our proud traditions. We support a community committed to learning and personal growth by providing a school atmosphere wherein all students have an opportunity to strive for excellence in all pursuits and to act upon their potential. Evan Hardy is an exciting place at which to learn and boasts many unique and innovative programs.
We provide a full academic program with classes offered at the enriched and regular levels. Following best practice, we have addressed the learning needs of our modified students within the regular classroom.
Evan Hardy is home to Saskatoon Public Schools International Student Program, and we have approximately 35 tuition-paying students enrolled here from around the world. We are also home to Saskatoon Public Schools only secondary Autism/Aspergers Program and our Media School Program. Students from around Saskatoon come to Evan Hardy to be part of these exciting initiatives. Evan Hardy has a substantial English as a Second Language/English as an Additional language (ESL/EAL) student population (beyond the International Student Program). We are proud of our schools cultural diversity. When you walk the halls of Evan Hardy, you may well feel as if you are touring the United Nations.
Other unique programming offered at Evan Hardy includes:
- Advanced Placement classes in Calculus and Studio Art
- many integrated programs such as Integrated Kinesiology, Integrated English and Drama
- ESL/EAL support
- language options of French and Japanese plus Spanish and Mandarin (which are not offered at any other school)
Evan Hardy also has close connections with the University of Saskatchewan's Canadian Light Source Synchrotron and is able to offer the Academic Placement Co-op Program and Bioresource Management.
Students and staff at Evan Hardy experience a warm and welcoming environment where student engagement and student achievement are our top priorities. Through our mentorship program (SoulTime), our staff promotes healthy student development, supports academic success, and provides multiple opportunities to bridge the divide between healthy development and academic success. As part of Saskatoon Public Schools strategic plan, Evan Hardy is focusing our Professional Development and instructional practices on Assessment for Learning (AFL). We have fostered a culture of teacher and student engagement, addressing students learning needs through formative assessment by incorporating assessment for learning into our daily routines.
Evan Hardy is also well known for the excellent extracurricular offerings we provide our students. Of special note is our proud history of extensive extracurricular programming. In the fine and performing arts, we host an annual play and musical. In the sporting realm, we have captured more provincial team championships than any other school in Saskatchewan.
We invite you to come and experience the excellence that is Evan Hardy.
