Saskatoon Public Schools is home to Soccer Academy, delivered in partnership with ASTRA Soccer.

Soccer Academy gives students attending any Saskatoon Public School the opportunity to combine high-performance soccer development with their regular academic programming. Academic schedules are adjusted to ensure students continue to meet Saskatchewan curriculum outcomes.

Eligibility

• This program is designed for students who plan to apply for scholarships or play at high levels of sport. It is not recommended for athletes looking to play at a recreational level.
• The program is club/zone neutral and open to students that reside anywhere in the city.
• The Academy currently includes students in grades 6-9, however, there is the possibility of adding spaces for students in grades 10-12 if there is sufficient interest.

Soccer Academy runs Monday to Friday, from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m., from mid-September until the end of May. Bus transportation is currently only provided between the ASTRA Training Facility and Estey School, and families with students attending other schools are asked to provide their own transportation. Transportation service may be expanded to other schools for the 2027-28 school year.
