Saskatoon Public Schools is home to Soccer Academy, delivered in partnership with ASTRA Soccer.

Soccer Academy gives students attending any Saskatoon Public School the opportunity to combine high-performance soccer development with their regular academic programming. Academic schedules are adjusted to ensure Academy students continue to meet Saskatchewan curriculum outcomes.

This program is for kids that are serious about soccer and who plan on applying for scholarships or playing at high levels. It is not a recreational program. The program is club/zone neutral and therefore open to students that reside anywhere in the city. The Academy is currently operating with students in grades 6-9, however, there is the possibility of adding spaces for students in grades 10-12 if there is sufficient interest.

Soccer Academy runs Monday to Friday, from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m., from mid-September until the end of May. Bus transportation is currently only provided between the ASTRA Training Facility and Estey School. Families with students attending other schools would need to arrange for transportation. Note that there is the possibility of expanding transportation service to other schools for the 2027-28 school year.
