Hearing Impaired Programming

Saskatoon Public Schools provides a continuum of support services for students who are deaf or hard of hearing and meet provincial designation criteria.

Riley Keating has been enrolled in Saskatoon Public Schools since preschool at which time he had his surgery for a cochlear implant. He is currently enrolled in Grade 12 at Centennial Collegiate. Riley will share his experiences as a student with a hearing impairment and how the supports he received created successful learning opportunities and allowed him to reach his potential both academically and socially. He will be accompanied by his parents, Peter and Theresa Keating. Also joining us will be Randi Barker, Coordinator: Special Education and Diane Edwards, Consultant: Sensory Impaired.
