Saskatoon Public Schools offers the most diverse programming options in Saskatchewan and works hard to ensure all students are engaged in their learning.

    Students who wish to complete Grade 12, upgrade their previous marks, or add a credit class that they require for post-secondary training, are well served in this setting. Program offered at Nutana Collegiate.

    Advanced PlacementAdvanced Placement
    Advanced Placement (AP) courses are options for able students who want to enrich and challenge themselves in particular subjects by working on university-level material while still in high school.

    Experiential learning is connected to careers and other academic areas so students can study course material at school and in the community. This program is offered at Nutana Collegiate.

    Career & Work EducationCareer & Work Education
    This program provides collegiate students with the opportunity to blend theoretical and practical experience both in the classroom and at a work site other than the classroom.

    Flex ProgramFlex Program
    The FLEX program allows students in Grade 7-12 to combine education with outside, high-level training. Located at City Park School.

    French ImmersionFrench Immersion
    French immersion at the collegiate level builds on students’ established language skills and competency in curricular subjects. High school French immersion programs are available at Centennial, Tommy Douglas and Walter Murray collegiates.

    German ExchangeGerman Exchange
    Saskatoon Public Schools coordinates a German exchange program for Grade 11 students. Student exchanges of either one or three months in length are available.

    A Grade 5-12 congregated program for gifted students. Saskatoon Public Schools Academically Gifted Education (SAGE) is offered at three collegiates — Bedford Road, Evan Hardy and Walter Murray — and three elementary schools.

    International Baccalaureate World Schools share a commitment to high quality, challenging, international education. The IB Diploma Programme is offered at Aden Bowman and Bedford Road collegiates.

    Pathways provides the opportunity to round out classroom learning with real-world experience in academic and workplace settings. Pathways is offered at Mount Royal Collegiate.

    Students use hands-on learning stations to develop the technical and communication skills needed to solve problems. Offered at Bedford Road Collegiate.

    Royal West CampusRoyal West Campus
    Royal West Campus offers students age 18 and older the opportunity to study in a self-paced, continuous learning environment that meets individual student needs. The Adult 12 program allows students to obtain Grade 12 standing.

    Classes take place during July and allow high school students and adults to upgrade their academic standing to meet graduation and post-secondary entrance requirements.

    This half-day, full-year program for Grade 9 students emphasizes learning through collaboration, group work and community building. Offered at Aden Bowman Collegiate.

    Students have the chance to study in a program where opportunities are linked to community resources and programs. Offered at Nutana Collegiate.

    The High School Carpentry Apprenticeship allows students to experience all aspects of the residential construction industry. Offered at Mount Royal Collegiate, this full-semester program is open to Grade 11-12 students division-wide.

    Media School is a full-semester program that explores the world of making films and television. Based at Evan Hardy Collegiate, this program is open to Grade 11 students division-wide.

    A half-day, full-year learning experience for Grade 9 students who are interested in such topics as climate change, sustainable living and social justice. Offered at Tommy Douglas Collegiate

    The curriculum is delivered with a philosophy of outdoor, adventure and environmental education. Based at Walter Murray Collegiate, this full-semester program is open to Grade 11 students division-wide.

    Students have the opportunity to build their skills in the sport in combination with their education. Located at Tommy Douglas Collegiate.

    The Saskatoon Secondary Schools Athletic Directorate plans, supervises and co-ordinates interschool athletics and promotes interschool athletics as an integral part of the total education process. For schedules, results, and standings visit the SSSAD website.
