math9.jpgDescription: This course is designed to provide students with the foundational mathematical understandings and critical thinking skills required for success in all grade 10 to 12 mathematics courses and pathways. Students will continue to build upon mathematical understandings within four main outcome areas: numbers; patterns and relationships; shape and space; and statistics and probability.  Students will have the opportunity to learn and practice skills in several technology-focused subject areas (interspersed throughout the course) to introduce them to optional technology and practical & applied arts courses that can be taken at the grade 10 to 12 level).     
Topics include: measurement, working with linear relations, polynomials, operations with rational numbers, exponent laws, equations and inequalities, circle geometry, triangle similarity, symmetry, probability, and statistical analysis
